November 21st  update

Thanksgiving week finds us with much to be grateful for including the
continued progress on our project.  Much of the leveling of the walls and ceilings in the attic is done and next week the expanded dormer can
be framed.  Working downward the process continues. Downstairs the
doorway between the addition and the main hall is being widened, things
are being cleaned up and small necessities addressed.

In the attic the newly framed chimneys were stuffed with insulation.

Most of the framing and leveling have
been completed in the attic with the exception
of the new double dormer on the rear of the house.

Pat has begun moving down from the attic carefully leveling walls as he goes.

Downstairs the doorway from
the main hall to the new addition
 will be reframed.

As activity moves back downstairs areas are
being cleaned out for a push to completion.
This shot shows the dining room ready for the
crew to return to work on it.

Where the downstairs air return for the
HVAC was placed required reframing. This
is one of the many small necessities being
completed every day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This view, from the attic of the manse out over the Store Creek
marshes, reminds us of the many blessings we share as we
celebrate another Thanksgiving on our lovely island.
