December 7th  update

T he start of the week was consumed by finishing up last week's to do list.
Then the crew moved on to the downstairs dining room ceiling. Meanwhile Rick quietly began the dirty job of cleaning up the second floor.

The chimneys are now fully stucco-ed.

Here's where we left the new dormer
as of 12-4.

It was obvious the ceiling of the dining room was not level. So the ceiling had to come out.

The joists had to be jacked up
about two inches. A beam,
 already cracked, broke.

So a new beam was fabricated. This is actually the
half they didn't use.

And here  you see the half they did use supporting the joists.
