August 29th update

The details are what take time! The end of August sees steady
progress with much accomplished but much more still to do.

Wiring is almost done. A tremendously
important part of the project it
 has been handled almost entirely
 by Church member/volunteers.

The new plan moves some things around  - like
the light over the front door. When you
do that you have to repair the siding
where the old light was hung.

There's a lot more plumbing to do
 and Michael continues to
plug away at it. It is another
critical part of renovating
an old house to make it livable.

Meanwhile under the house another Church member is reframing the old utility door using treated lumber.

Throughout the project whenever possible the old is preserved. Here the old door is reinstalled, but is now protected from contact with the ground.

With only some flashing and the roof cap to be installed the new roof over the addition is virtually complete.
