Building the Piers for the New Addition |

With the piers
constructed excess dirt was |
Some dirt was removed and stockpiled for later use. |
Pumping equipment was checked before the concrete arrived. |
|
|
|
|
|
Finally the truck arrives (two hours late) and work can begin. |
Lost time was quickly made up as the crew began pumping concrete into the piers. |
And everyone pitched in to top it off, make sure there were no gaps, smooth it, and square the pre-prepared attachment points. |
|
|
|
|
|
It was important to fill the piers completely leaving no gaps. |
Everyone pitched in and the piers were quickly filled. |
Of course from time to time good old fashioned shovel work was called for! |
