Building the Piers for the New Addition

With the piers constructed excess dirt was
smoothed away from the work area in preparation for the next stage of construction.

Some dirt was removed and stockpiled for later use.

Pumping equipment was checked before the concrete arrived.

Finally the truck arrives (two hours late)  and work can begin.

Lost time was quickly made up as the crew began pumping concrete into the piers.

And everyone pitched in to top it off, make sure there were no gaps, smooth it, and square the pre-prepared attachment points.

It was important to fill the piers completely leaving no gaps.

Everyone pitched in and the piers were quickly filled.

Of course from time to time good old fashioned shovel work was called for!
