July 19th

Steady progress continues. Upstairs the new wiring is almost complete. The fireplaces
are being redone upstairs and down. Planning for the new kitchen and
bathroom continues. And the roof is now on the addition at the rear of the house.

Upstairs, all new electrical boxes
have been installed.

Placement of outlets, switches and fixtures was carefully
planned.

And the actual work of pulling the wire
and installing the switches and outlets
has been done.

Restoring the old fire places is meticulous
work.

Fortunately Edisto has a father/son team that
is widely known for their skills. They've worked
on many of the island's homes, old and new.

And the end result testifies to their talents.
The newly restored fire places are all
fitted for gas logs.

Finally, this is a shot of the new addition at the rear of the Manse.
As you can see all plywood sub walls are up.  The new roof deck
is in place covered with felt. The new windows sit inside awaiting
installation.
